The Youth Food Movement is a global network of young activists committed to changing food systems within local communities.
The Youth Food Movement is for anybody who views industrialised, large scale, monocultural food production as damaging to our natural environments, cultural heritage, planetary biodiversity, and personal health.
The Youth Food Movement is available to anybody who feels inspired to take action, and to those looking to meet other activists, and generate joint projects.
The Youth Food Movement is open to every person who wants to take action to fix the broken food systems we’re inheriting.
“Youth” is not an age requirement; it is a conscious response to the culture in which a generation of young people is coming of age.
By making a pledge to take action within your local community, you become a part of the YFM.

The Pangea: Ark of Knowledge apprenticeship project seeks to ensure that the knowledge of traditional agriculture, sustainable practices and of master artisans is passed on to younger generations. In doing so, the project builds leadership and increases opportunities for mentorship and exchange.

In addition to the producers, cooks, and academics, over 1,000 youth delegates attended the event for the first time. The Youth Food Movement was proud to invite and host 1,000 young people from around the world for 4 days of workshops, seminars, knowledge exchange and relationship building. The TM Youth Network will continue to communicate and develop projects together long after the event itself is finished.
