Young Professionals Network (YPN) is an initiative of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung with the aim to provide a platform to Pakistani Youth by involving them in the discussion and implementation of policies and programs. The aim of the YPN also includes empowering promising young talent to facilitate their professional advancement into decision-making positions. This is a voluntary body and a part of FES efforts to enhance civil society participation in national and regional issues.

What does the organization do?
We have established 5 such groups in each province of Pakistan and plan to establish 4 more groups within next couple of years. The established groups are set up in:-
- NWFP (Peshawar, Mardan, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Dir and Haripur districts) – 16 Members (13 M, 3 F)
- Punjab...

- Punjab (Bahawalpur & Lodhran) – 8 members (6 M, 2 F)
- Sindh (Sukkur, Shikarpur, Ghotki, Khairpur) – 16 Members (14 M, 2 F)
- Balochistan (Quetta, Pishin & Qila Abdullah) – 19 Members (14 M, 5 F)
- Sindh (Nawabshah, Naushero Feroze, Sanghar) – 16 Members (13 M, 3 F)
The focal point of gathering is Peshawar for NWFP, Bahawalpur for Punjab, Sukkur for Sindh and Quetta for Balochistan group and groups meet there once a month.

We have been working closely with these networks and have provided many opportunities to these talented youth in participating different youth programs like:-

We have been working closely with these networks and have provided many opportunities to these talented youth in participating different youth programs like:-
- 3-day international conference on Youth & Globalization in Kabul, 1-3 December, 2004
- 10-day Summer Course at Ayubia on Youth, Globalization & MDGs where 30 participants were invited including 15 from South Asia, Iran and Afghanistan.
- 10-day study visit to Germany by 4 members to meet youth organizations working in Germany and to participate in 2-day open space conference on Youth & achievement of MDGs.
