TYW focuses on assisting young women to confront the challenges they face, such as; limited access to the decision making spaces, gender based violence, HIV/AIDS and mentorship
opportunities.
Some of our main objectives include:
a) Promoting young women‟s participation and empowerment in the economic, political and social arenas.
b) Reinforcing interventions in the fights against HIV/AIDS and Gender Based Violence (Female Genital Mutilation, early marriage, sexual exploitation and protection of children, etc.)
c) Linking emerging young women with well-seasoned older women who will mentor and coach them and nurture their leadership skills and other qualities
