Our organization is completly youth-run, according to the United Nations definition of "youth" (ages 15 to 25). Youth participants are able to express the human rights issues that are taking place in their own countries by writing articles for the newsmagazine. Readership of the newsmagazine is in nearly 30 countries at the moment. Recently, we also invited 4 youth journalists from Africa (2 from Tanzania and 2 from a Liberian refugee camp from Ghana) to write for the newsmagazine. We believe that teenagers should be informed about human rights issues. In the future, we hope to start "human rights groups" in each country, so that teenagers who write for "The International Voice" can meet and discuss human rights issues in their country.
