The Centre for Global Education (CGE) is an organization focused on using communication technologies, aimed at K-12 students around the world, to raise awareness and discussion on global issues and encourage youth to take action that affects their local and global communities.
The Centre for Global Education links, educates, and inspires students from across Alberta and around the globe. Using online technology to facilitate project-based, higher-level learning opportunities, CGE breaks down traditional classroom barriers, connecting students to the world and the world to students. Since 2008, CGE has facilitated videoconference programming for 100,000’s of students, from over 500 schools, in more than 50 countries. CGE develops and delivers virtual, collaborative learning projects that engage and empower youth as global citizens, through connecting them to the people, places, and issues they are learning about in their classrooms.

Youth can get involved in all our programs through their schools. We run over 200 Our virtual conferences and events every year, so there are tons of opportunities to get your class involved and connect to the world!
