TYAP each year trains youth from Communities around Northern Thailand to become youth leaders in their communities. We train youth in HIV/Aids prevention, understanding of sexual and reproductive health, sexuality, gender, youth violence, harm reduction, leadership skills, and how to be trainers. TYAP will then support youth as they undertake awareness activities in their communities. TYAP also supports youth when they are working together with local government and local community leaders.
TYAP also has a media project that teaches youth about different mediums of the media. Currently TYAP trains youth in radio production, TV production and a workshop called understanding the media. TYAP currently works on a TV show for youth on a Thailand cable TV station, WeTV and TYAP also conducts up to 4 radio spots per month on Chiang Mai radio talking about youth issues. Youth are encouraged to be part of the production of these programs.
