Team Youth:
High school students grades nine through twelve from across Winnipeg assemble to work together to provide a voice for young people, explore solutions to youth issues and promote positive youth activities. Members meet throughout the year, attend conferences and organize events of their own initiative.
Helpliner:
Helpliners provide a confidential, non-judgmental and anonymous problem-solving support to Helpline callers. They undergo more than thirty hours of training enabling them to discuss and support individuals going through all different types of situations. A minimum of a one-year dedication to the line is required and a strict monthly commitment of a minimum of four four-hour shifts is also a requirement. Volunteers must be at least eighteen years of age.
Virtual Help Volunteer:
Just like the Helpliner position, virtual help volunteers assist youth and their parents in times when talking out a problem can lead to the self-realization of the best solution. The TEEN TOUCH website offers a place to talk-it-out online for added convenience. Having been a Helpliner for several months is a prerequisite.
