SHH manages student-led chapters in the US that recruit members and fundraise for Central American Children’s Institute (CeCI) projects. SHH also bring volunteers to Honduras to participate in week-long service trips. During the service trips, the organization takes volunteers to work in construction at the CeCI project sites and to engage children from the communities in educational and developmental activities.

They work side-by-side with community members in construction projects ranging from water towers to homes to schools. Volunteers also engage children in educational and developmental activities. Chapter members have the opportunity to work with their peers fundraising and networking for SHH; developing their business and leadership skills.
