Current Projects:
1. Envi-Reporters Program
Envi Reporter (ER) is a project designed for secondary school pupils and teachers to report about local environmental issues in order to enhance the awareness of local public about environmental problems. Following the main objective of SAVE, ER project also aims to raise environmental consciousness of the public, especially among the secondary students and their teachers in order for a better environment in Singapore. For the year 2005/2006, our motto is “For A Green Singapore, Voice Out!”
Assisted by teachers, secondary school pupils join ER journalistic activities to discover local environmental issues. Possible activities for ER project are writing of reports, articles, and taking photos. The goal is to inform the public in a journalistic way through any media type (ER website, school magazines, exhibitions, conferences, local newspapers, radios or TV Channels). Our annually official SAVE-ER Awards will honour the best articles and projects of the year.

2. Free cycle Initiative
Free cycling is a channel which connects people who are throwing away goods with others who are seeking the same goods. Free cycle provides a platform for people to give and take useful goods. By free cycling, we can help reducing waste, putting goods to a better use, as well as helping people to get the goods they need. Waste can be reduced and the spirit of sharing can be invoked.
Our objectives are to reduce waste, raise awareness regarding waste and environment issues, inspire students to do their part to preserve the environment, provide alternatives for students to make their unused items to a better use, promote free cycling habit among the students, and also to increase a sense of sharing to other people.

4. Recycling Ideas Competition
The aim of this Recycling Ideas Competition is to stimulate and showcase ideas for reusing various materials for household and office furniture, and fixtures (e.g. table, chair, photo frames, etc). The winning idea(s) should have the potential to be translated into real products. The competition is organized by the Campus Green Committee (CGC), the National University of Singapore. It is open to students of institutes of higher learning in Singapore.

5. Natural Spaces Project
The purpose of this project is to increase appreciation of the nature. We plan to organize two kinds of activities: Starlight Cinema and Field Trip. The Starlight Cinema is an outdoor screening session, in which we show a film with environment-related content, in a natural space, where people can sit together, in the arm of nature, and enjoy the film. The first session was quite successful. The venue was the green space outside LT11. The film we showed was "Under the Tuscan Sun". More than one hundred people attended the event. And they felt satisfied with what we delivered to them.
We are planning to organize another screening session this semester, and, if possible, a field trip to Mekong Delta this summer holiday.
6. Green Bazaar
The aim of the bazaar is to promote products by environmentally friendly company and to provide funds for other SAVE projects
