As the four co-founders of SPWHA, we are wholly committed to making a difference for a few today, and hundreds, if not thousands of people tomorrow. SPWHA is a non-profit organization set up to make a difference in the lives of sufferers of HIV/AIDS in these three countries. While others search desperately for a cure, we are more concerned with helping those who already have the disease, and educating those who don’t, but who are at risk. Our aim is to give back a sense of worth and value, a reason to live through access to better healthcare and retroviral drugs, recreating a sense of community that has long disappeared in many areas, and providing better education in locations where a difference can be made. Nobody with HIV/AIDS deserves to be abandoned; they deserve our help, our compassion, and our understanding to give everyone a sense of purpose, direction, and hope again.
