Saskatchewan Outdoor and Environmental Education Association (SOEEA) encourages educators and people who participate in outdoor recreation to practice and teach environmental responsibility.

1-Support educators to practice outdoor and environmental education.
2-Encourage outdoor recreation, exploration of Saskatchewan, development of outdoor and environmental skills and practices, and the development of a sense of place.
3-Actively connect diverse members and support environmental decision making encouraging ecological responsibility.
4-Be a happy and healthy organization (leadership, communication, partnerships, networks, members, and membership benefits).

Opportunities for Youth
SaskOutdoors provides funding and resources for environmental initiatives. Projects that have been supported in the past include: camping trips, winter camping trips, canoe trips, rejuvenating school gardens/outdoor classrooms/green spaces, school campaigns to save energy/recycle, etc.

SaskOutdoors provides funding and resources for environmental initiatives. Projects that have been supported in the past include: camping trips, winter camping trips, canoe trips, rejuvenating school gardens/outdoor classrooms/green spaces, school campaigns to save energy/recycle, etc.
SaskOutdoors organizes events such as annual ecotours and winter camping experiences that are open and attended by all ages.
SaskOutdoors offers a youth award called the Cydney Weir Award for Youth Environmental Leadership
The Cydney Weir Award for Youth Environmental Leadership was established in 2014 to honor Cydney, a passionate environmental leader who was active in Brownies, Guides, Pathfinders, and Rangers, as well as Trek School, the Sheldon Collegiate Outdoor Club, and was enrolled in Environmental Sciences at the University of Regina.
Youth environmental leaders ages 13 to 19 living in Saskatchewan are eligible to be nominated.
