To maintain traditional basket weaving skills and other art and crafts, improve the livelihood of youths and reduce poverty through producing hand woven baskets for own use but mainly to sell out to earn an income.

Organise elderly skilled basket weavers to teach the rural youths to weave baskets from bush canes and sell them to local buyers, tourists or send abroad.
