The (National Youth Council of Pakistan), platform of the Pakistani youth organizations, was born in 2000 and gathers presently 25 organizations of different spheres of influence (Culture, Environment, Political, Labor Unions, and Religious Confessions).
The main aims of the NYCP are to constitute a space of dialogue between the organizations, to reflect over the Pakistani youth expectations and to contribute towards the development of youth associative life, and to be recognized by the Government as a partner in youth-related matters. In close collaboration with young people, the NYCP develops its work in the areas of prevention, intervention, Poverty Reduction, Education, Health, Child Mortality, Diseases, Human Rights, training and information for young people and to implement Youth Polices of Government of Pakistan and Close Cooperation with United Nations agencies in Pakistan to achieve UN goals Define by United Nations and also cooperation with other National and International organization are working in the field of prevention, intervention, Poverty Reduction, Education, Health, Child Mortality, Diseases, Human Rights, Peace and other issues.
The aim is to work closely with United Nation agencies to achieve their goals will promote United Nation aims and objectives through seminars, workshops, conferences, Print media and Electronic media and will use all of our efforts to achieve United Nations Goals.
Through our member and affiliated organizations, as well as our representative statute, we want to improve the well being of People in today’s Pakistan,
Presently, there are 12 main thematic areas that the National Youth Council of Pakistan is working on, are as follow
1. Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger.
2. Achieve primary education.
3. Promote Gender Equality and Empower Women.
4. Reduce child mortality.
5. Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Hepatitis and other diseases.
6. Improve maternal Health.
7. Ensure Environmental Sustainability.
8. Human rights.
9. Develop a global partnership for development
10. Emergence relief operations
11. Vocational and Professional Training for Youth
12. Career Counseling for Youth

What does the organization do?

1. To create think- tank for educational reform particularly with reference to introduction of IT education, updating curricula, character building, primary education, skilled education and acquisition of useful skills at school/madrassah level and seek implementation of proposal in selected institutions and areas in Pakistan
2. To disseminate information in cooperation with the UN information Centers on Pakistan whenever possible, about the programs and activities of the UN.
3. To promote international understanding and friendship between People of Pakistan and UN.
4. To lend support to relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction tasks of UN in Pakistan and elsewhere if required.
5. To collaborate with other volunteer national and international organizations on project related to work of NYCP.
6. To fight against poverty and hunger, Education issue, health issue, human rights, peace, youth issue, relief operations, all kind of disease etc.
7. To device schemes for child, youth, women’s welfare and initiate action for implementation in coordination with national, UN and other international organizations.
8. To introduce projects relying on adoption strategy, for under-privileged children, neglected educational institutions/ recreational facilities etc as part of an overall eradication of poverty programs in Pakistan.
9. To conceive/implement schemes for utilizing the experience and qualifications of the growing body of superannuated persons in Pakistan for social work, social work training and other national tasks.
10. To lend support to population/family planning work in Pakistan.
11. To work on youth issue in Pakistan
12. To undertake any assignment, contract, consultation, mission on behalf of UN, Government of Pakistan any national or international organization

With a view to creating awareness about the UN in promoting peace and particularly its initiatives for the welfare of mankind, close relationships with the national and international organizations, help to implement national youth policy of Pakistan (NYCP) National Youth Council of Pakistan is established.
This is social welfare organization registered under respective laws and are expected to be volunteer, non-sectarian, non-profit, non-governmental organization. This is run entirely by Executive Committee of NYCP and focus on organizing seminars, workshops, meetings, educating the general public and fighting against the poverty and hunger, education issue, health issue, human rights, youth issue, emergency relief operations etc.
We are sponsor of (NYCP) National Youth Council of Pakistan have resolved to combine our efforts to form an council of the people and having agreed to the present constitution do hereby establish an organization to be known as (NYCP) National Youth Council of Pakistan.
