Mission/Vision
Mercy Corps exists to alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression by helping people build secure, productive and just communities. Among its many programs operating in 40 countries world-wide, it works to engage youth to take informed and effective action in collaboration with other youth.
What does the organization do?
The Global Citizen Corps program inspires and equips an expanding international network of 500 young leaders who take informed actions to build secure, productive and just communities around the world. They in turn organize 10,000 others who reach one million each year
Opportunities for Youth
Become a Global Citizen Corps leader and receive training in multi-media and social networking organizing, leadership skills and connect with global leaders around the world to take concerted action to change the world. Leaders are selected in the US, Scotland, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Gaza
