Mission/Vision
KALA vision is to provide for adult and youth in adult literacy interventions and opportunities to take responsibility of their own learning and give them a platform to articulate their perspectives on literacy and to influence policy implementation of the program.

As part of the management objectives, the association established a learning resource centre which caters for the needs of the youths to acquire education and skills for personal and community growth.
The centre uses various participatory process scenarios. The youths at the centre have acquired skills that have enabled them start their own small-scale businesses thus empowered to take a leading role in development issues. stock the management and distribution of knowledge to reach the majority whose accessibility is minimal or limited. The information is integrated into the local status quo. The youths use the resource centre to expand their academic knowledge, information collection and distribution, experience sharing peer learning exchange programmes.
