GNSD is an Internet hub connecting governments, universities, community organizations and student clubs interested in sustainability projects. The network was created by a group of former participants of EmPeace LABS workshops representing Brazil, Canada, China, Nepal, India, Japan, Nigeria, Cameroon, Somalia and USA. The GNSD Leadership Team utilize experience gathered during the development of the University-Community Partnership for Social Action Research (UCP-SARnet) to create a model of global partnership for sustainable development envisioned by the UN.

Create an Internet hub allowing individuals and organizations involved in sustainability projects to connect with each other and create partnerships enhancing sustainable development of communities at the local and global levels.
*Stimulate research on the impact of partnerships on stakeholders and community at large.
*Strengthen the new generation of future community leaders by educating youth about importance of partnerships for sustainable development and motivating them to create such partnerships.

Serving as Regional Coordinators connecting organizations interested in sustainability issues in their regions;
Getting involved in local environmental projects;
Creating Sustainability Clubs in high schools and colleges, possibly in collaboration with Rotary Clubs;
Promoting collaboration across the borders;
Serving as editors of the GNSD website;
Make publicity for the network using social media.
