GCN envisions a society where girls are empowered and enjoy their rights with support from whole communities so as to walk in the fullness of their potential in line with the Millennium Development Goals be it at home, school and community.

We empower the girl child through girls' empowerment clubs. We also assist rape and child abuse survivors by rehabilitating them with reinstallation into schools. We provide safety shelters for girls who are rape survivors. We also carry out awareness campaigns against child abuse, child trafficking, as well as harmful cultural and religious practices that hinder the growth of the girl child. We lobby and advocate for policies and laws that protect children from any form of abuse. We also do media monitoring as we will be assessing the role that the media plays in objective and gender sensitive reporting on child abuse. We also engage communities in the girls' empowerment process by engaging community leaders to assist in the fight against child abuse.
