A lot has been said about the plight of the Nigerian youth in recent time. It is a very common knowledge that an average Nigerian youth is the one that is deprieved of the basic amenities with which h

needs to grow yet emerge successful dspite all odds. Our society is filled with youths of different age grades that are unemployed who are quite ready to take up any form of legitimate work to make ends meet. Here in Nigeria, I have encountered Degree holder youths who make their living by hawking petty items, while some also engage in labour works at different construction sites. Through the study conducted, it was revealed that the number of youth who want to be gainfully employed are far more than the ones who take to crime! This means that a lot still need to be done in the areas of employment provision if crime is to be tackled at all. What more, any of these diligent youth could easily be lured into committing nefarious acts if continually frustrated and unattended to.
