The vision of Dando Pasos is to take the steps, however small, to give issues like gender equality, education reform, immigration, environmental degradation, and human rights a voice for change. Bringing about effective change requires all people to form part of this movement. In today's day and age, society has labeled the youth as ignorant, lazy, and immature. Society’s perception of the youth is grossly flawed and Dando Pasos does not want any child or young adult to be told that their views are unimportant or premature, to be told that their idealism cannot be substantiated into any policy, and to be told that they will passively accept reality. Thus, a crucial part of Dando Pasos's vision is dispelling these notions by giving an opportunity to all young women and men to actively proclaim their ideas. Dando Pasos is inherently a youth movement.

Beginning as a blog to discuss our founder's views on certain issues, Dando Pasos has taken a turn to focus on the effects these issues have on the youth and to address our generation's proclamations for the future. From then on, Dando Pasos has developed into a community of passionate and idealistic young men and women who are committed to ensuring justice, equality, and peace. Dando Pasos works to achieve these ends by blogging, photography, cinematography, and service. Through blogging Dando Pasos exposes the nightmares that millions of men, women and children consider reality. Through photography and cinematography, Dando Pasos has given itself a youthful attitude to disseminating these vices. Through video campaigns and photo series, Dando Pasos gives these issues a face, a body, and a story. Through service projects like Thanksgiving and Christmas drive distributions to immigrant families, Dando Pasos forms an active part of this movement for change. Being a youth movement, Dando Pasos uses media outlets like Instagram and Twitter to disseminate information about current events. Finally, Dando Pasos also works hand in hand with other organizations such as UNICEF and Amnesty International.

Essentially, it is a way for the world to directly hear the proclamations of the youth. Whether it is about human rights, current events or typical teenage struggles, Dear World, is open to their ideas and their message. Dando Pasos also gives students an outlet to join protests, petition drives, and activist movements. Dando Pasos is essentially a platform that allows the youth to form an active part of change – it allows them to take the steps to create the world of their dreams.
