The primary focus of Concerned Youth of America will be to educate the American populace, especially American youth, on the issue of Governmental Budget Reform at the local, state, and national levels in response to increasing levels of fiscal irresponsibility. The following is our mission statement:
Concerned Youth of America is a nonpartisan group dedicated to promoting fiscal responsibility at the local, state and federal levels. Created by and for America's young people, the generation that will inherit today's misguided spending, CYA will raise awareness amongst the youth who would otherwise be disaffected and disconnected with our nation's public policy.
CYA will work with lawmakers, business, and civic leaders to articulate our concerns and our proposals for change. Our youthfulness and vigor will bring a new voice to rise above the din of partisan bickering. We are not interested in demagoguery or a political agenda, but rather solutions to a problem that uniquely affects us. With a bill for more than nine trillion dollars looming over our generation, the time to act is now.
As a new organization, we will rely on experience and knowledge that we have acquired in the past to move forward in making our organization successful.

Today's youth feel more and more alienated from the political process. On too many issues, it seems that our voices are not heard by policy makers when they sit down to make the nation's most important decisions.
Concerned Youth of America wants to change that. When Congress sits down to write a new budget, all of the special interests get involved to make sure that their constituency groups are well-represented. But in the long run, the budget affects the one group that does not have a seat at the table: today's youth.
Through chapter development and political outreach, Concerned Youth of America intends to get America's students involved in the civic process by representing the voice of their peers before the government. Our organization provides youth a unique opportunity to work with lawmakers to tackle an issue of extreme importance for our generation.
