CogniTerra's vision is the development of the societies of the broader Mediterranean and South-Eastern European region, in order for their peoples to have sustainable food and clean water availability, live over the limit of poverty in peace and freedom, to be educated, to share their cultures and become citizens of the world regardless of their age, nationality, sex, religion, cultural background or colour of skin.
CogniTerra's mission is to promote sustainable development and the establishment of an equitable knowledge society for all by mobilising all stakeholders in society (civil society, private & public sector) through a broad spectrum of initiatives and activities with emphasis to the broader Mediterranean region.

CogniTerra works on the following:- Improve collaboration between Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working on sustainable Mediterranean development and knowledge society with other stakeholders of society. - Facilitate partnerships, networking and multilateral participation of various CSOs with relative fields of work, for increasing know-how and effectiveness. - Improve awareness of various target groups and provide high quality training on the major issues of sustainable Mediterranean development and related practices. - Increase the research and knowledge on our fields of specialization and disseminate it. - Initiate, develop and implement projects targeting specific issues and problems faced by various people in the Mediterranean region. - Assist the Mediterranean youth in bridging cultures, expanding knowledge and promoting exchange. - Promote the use of ICT for development.
