•Work for the betterment of the situation of blind and partially sighted Afghan people (in and outside of Afghanistan) in order to enable them to be self-sufficient and productive members of society.
•Plan, establish and coordinate different kinds of activities and services for blind and partially sighted Afghan citizens.
•Work for the implementation of fundamental rights for the blind and partially sighted in society and to keep blind and partially sighted people informed about their rights and about existing possibilities for assistance.
•Spread objective information about the situation of the blind and partially sighted in order to win friends and allies in the struggle for emancipation and social integration of the visually impaired of Afghanistan.
•Promote the prevention and treatment of blindness and low vision.
•To promote co-ordination and co-operation among both national and international organizations and to work on collaborate to helping all Afghan citizens in need.
•To work towards creating a gender balance both at provincial and national levels of the Association.
•To work honestly and diligently for and towards the achievement of the above objectives.
•To help facilitate collaborations and support between all Afghan citizens who are blind or partially sighted persons within their local communities, villages and families.

Afghanistan Association of the blind, AAB is a registered organisation with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan, SAFRON Pakistan, Asian Blind Union, ABU and World Blind Union, WBU.
Providing opportunities and teaching Blind and Visually Impaired Afghans the Braille Script, this enables them to follow their education as a sighted student. This will be taught in different levels with systematic method.
Instructing the vocation training to male and female trainees e.g. Bead weaving, Chair and rod making, jewelry making, bag weaving from nylon etc.... for income generation support....
The skill of Moving by him/herself freely or using a long white cane, Exploration and Training Techniques width and without cane, Daily living skills ( combing hair, nail cutting, washing their mouth, face, clothes, cooking etc....). Finding Dropped articles with Techniques and Protection methods or how to protect the upper and lower body through hands.
