The aim of YOUths! is to reveal to participants their potential to create a positive impact on their lives and their community by taking on leadership roles. To achieve this goal, YOUths! will provide educational resources and services with an emphasis on interactive and applied activities.

YOUths! is organized to fulfill the following objectives:

* to inspire and motivate students to participate in the development of their community via involvement with established community movements or by launching a project of their own;
* to provide tools and resources to jump-start an initiative, focusing on leadership abilities and communication skills in situations requiring sound group dynamics;
* to provide opportunities to network with other youths who share a desire to make a difference through community initiatives.

YOUths! is a non-profit program run entirely by volunteer university students from all four Montreal universities, and laureates of the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation’s Excellence Awards. Many have been involved with the development of the program since its creation in 2003. All members of the YOUths! team share the common belief that engaging youths into taking action within their community is essential for the long-term development of healthy sustainable societies.

YOUths! is committed to maintaining an environment of respect for the worth and dignity of individuals, including respect for pluralism and diversity. It is also dedicated to organizational excellence by promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability. To this end, YOUths! has developped a Code of Ehtics that contains broad principles reflecting the types of behavior YOUths! expects towards its stakeholders, including its Personnel, Partners, Participants, and the public.

YOUths! started as a initiative of the Montreal Millennium Scholarship Laureate Chapter, which is part of a framework created by the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation to bring together laureates of its Excellence Awards program. Dedicated to youths leadership development since its creation in 2003, YOUths! has since expanded and has established itself as a non-profit association. At the same time, YOUths! has continuously maintained a high level of innovation and creativity while striving for excellence in both content and delivery.

YOUths! is a registered non- profit organization and governed by bylaws set in its charter. This document lists rules and regulations that all its members must adhere to and the duties and responsibilities at each level of the organization.
