When we look at the world the first thing in our line of sight is Baltimore. Our vision of Baltimore is a city filled with youth and community run businesses serving collective needs(but making money as well). We want youth to have employment opportunities that are meaningful and empowering, not simply learning job skills by having a non rewarding job. We want the hard work that our cities youth do to have the means to succeed, our vision for Baltimore is not really our vision, but the ability for each individual and community to make their own vision reality.

Once we look beyond Baltimore we see many of the same things all around the world..from Barcelona to Bratislava to Bogata urban youth are yearing for a roll in shaping the world and the global economy. Entreprenuership of all varieties is at amazingly high levels as the world comes to realize that treating the youth as surplus cheap labor is not so good.

We want to see a world where the largest segment of the worlds population (urban youth) has an equal say in the worlds future. A global network of youth working to utilize global resources to fulfill their dreams and visions.

YOURS works on a three part model of education, entrepreneurship, and community revitalization. Our in school programming teaches Baltimore City School students social enterprise, job skills, activism, and media.

Out of the classroom our entrepreneurship program works with young entrepreneurs to help them start and run their own business. During the course of their work with yours participants interact with local professionals who have volunteered their services to teach workshops on the law,finance, social responsibility, ecology, urbanization and more. They also work side by side with YOURS staff to run the YOURS Store, a cooperative training ground for young entrepreneurs where young people can design create and sell their own products, earning money and other benefits along the way.

Young people can work either as volunteers, interns or paid employees in the youth enterprise program. Furthermore during the summer we are constantly looking for youth partners to work with on community revitalization projects including : planting urban gardens, block clean-ups, open mics, fashion shows, art exhibitions and where ever your imagination may take you. We also seek people outside our network to work on our internet programs and to network with.

We are looking for global youth partners around the world and have good contacts in Palestine, eastern Europe and parts of south America, but are always looking to meet new people
