INFORM… EMPOWER... INVOLVE…
INFORMS-young people about the issues and affairs that concerns them through discussions, debates, dialogues, interactions, etc
EMPOWERS-young people to develop to their fullest potential, take part in decision making and exercise active citizenship through training, camps, capacity building, opportunities, etc.
INVOLVES- young people in all the stages of their own personal development and that of their communities through volunteering, civic engagements, advocacy, project work, etc.

Youth Initiative:
1. believes that young people are not just leaders of tomorrow, they are also partners of today.
2. recognizes the power, potential and the role of youths, their creativity and innovativeness.
3. believes that with right tools, skill and guidance, young people themselves are best able to identify their issues, seek solutions and take appropriate actions.
4. confides in giving appropriate opportunities to young people to bring about positive transformation in our societies.
5. deems that enough investment should be made into young people today so that they can develop to their fullest potential and hence head toward responsible and self-sufficient adulthood.
6. advocates for appropriate policies for the development and engagement of youth in all spheres of their personal and community development.
7. encourages coordination, collaboration, networking and partnership for similar causes with organization and networks at the national, regional or global level.

Youth Initiative is a youth-led and youth-run not for profit youth organisation. It was established during late 1999 but was legally registered in the Dist. Administration Office in Kathmandu on April 2001. Youth Initiative has got affiliation with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) of Nepal and is also a member of the NGO Federation of Nepal.
Youth initiative is an initiative by and for young people to develop to their fullest potential and bring about positive change in the societies they live.
