YAFA believes that this can be achieved by:
1. Educating the public with SRHR and accurate information about HIV & AIDS, particularly on modes of transmission and prevention of HIV, eliminating myths and misconceptions, and creating awareness of the current HIV situation in the country.
2. Promoting HIV testing and informing young people with all prevention strategies against HIV infection, including correct and consistent condom-use.
3. Bringing together young Filipinos working and advocating for HIV & AIDS and SRHR issues in the Philippines or elsewhere.
4. Supporting the involvement of young people, particularly young Filipinos living with HIV, in all levels of HIV and AIDS (prevention, care, treatment, and support) and SRHR response so to achieve meaningful youth participation.
5. Integrating HIV & AIDS with youth development and other youth issues such as sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equality, and youth leadership among others.

6. Empowering young people by providing opportunities for young people to build partnerships, exchange ideas, information and practices on HIV and AIDS, SRHR for the benefit of young Filipinos.
7. Mobilizing participants of YAFA’s activities so they can become peer-educators, advocates, and activists HIV & AIDS and young people’s SRHR in their respective communities.
8. Building youth partnerships and collaboration with other networks/groups, particularly youth organizations, to achieve common goals on HIV and AIDS and SRHR for the welfare of young Filipinos.
