To promote youth participation and representation at the policy level, in youth-related sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) policies and programs in Pakistan. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for young people by campaigning for the protection and promotion of their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights through advocacy; to reduce high risk sexual behavior in youth by behavioral interventions; and to organize young people into groups, building their capacity so that they can play their role as agents of change in their communities.

YAN on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights is formed by the youth participants of Training Workshop for Youth on 'Advocacy for Reproductive Health and Rights - January 12-16, 2005 - Pakistan organized by World Population Foundation Pakistan - in collaboration with the Dutch youth group CHOICE.
YAN is aimed at creating a forum for dialogue, discussion, and cooperation about sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people in Pakistan.

We believe youth have an obligation to educate and encourage policy makers to be active in acknowledging, protecting, and enhancing the Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights of youth. Young people have a valuable contribution to make to society and collectively they can change the world for the better.
Youth participation is essential to ensure that sexual & reproductive health and rights programmes and policies address the needs of young people & have real impact. Involving youth in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluating of youth-related policies, programmes and services which is recognized, respected and incorporated makes them more relevant, efficient and effective for their target group--young people.
