Together… making a difference!
As one of the most diverse charities in our community, The YMCA of Greater Halifax/Dartmouth is continuing our 154 year old history of providing “people building” programs and services for the girls and boys, men and women in our communities.
In 2007, over 50,000 citizens benefited from involvement in our YMCA! Over 30,000 Children and Youth under 24 years of age grew stronger through YMCA Programs and Support.
* Children are safe in Child Care development programs.
* Children and Youth grow strong through Health and Wellness recreation and sport programs.
* Youth gain Education and Employment skills.
* Children and Youth are rewarded with growth opportunities through YMCA Camping.
* Immigrant Children and Youth are welcomed and supported in their new home and thousands more
* Children and Youth in our school communities gain appreciation for diversity through Newcomer Programs.
* Adults keep strong through Health and Wellness Programs.
* Adults are assisted with Education and Employment Programs.
* Newcomer Adults are welcomed and assisted in their new home and hundreds more adults benefit from involvement in Newcomer Programs.
Simply stated, The YMCA of Greater Halifax/Dartmouth is a vehicle for building hope and realizing dreams in our community.
