By recognising and facilitating the importance of artistic expression and the Internet in the every day lives of youth, YAHAnet aspires to empower youth to take action in the fight against HIV & AIDS.
Youth members will be able to observe the diversity of ideas from their peers across the world and acquire new knowledge about how to use the Arts to create effective strategies for dealing with HIV & AIDS.
By showing, sharing, and learning through YAHAnet, youth members will be become much-needed leaders and start new projects or expand current initiatives in their own communities.

YAHAnet is an innovative, global webtool that provides youth from around the world with the opportunity to actively and creatively participate in the fight against HIV & AIDS using an interdisciplinary approach which combines public health, education, art, and technology. YAHAnet was developed after a much-need UNESCO-sponsored assessment of over 300 youth groups with an online presence showed that these groups needed a way to communicate with each other and promote and expand their work.
