Learning Is (LI) is a not-for-profit organization that facilitates innovative, technology-based education programs to inspire positive action on a global scale. The "To Learn" education series is LI's flagship education package based on an adventure learning delivery methodology. The first adventure in the learning series, "Ride To Learn," will commence with the World By Cycle expedition in partnership with TakingITGlobal and launching in the spring of 2012.

Beginning in March of this year, cyclists Kristina Stoney and Nic Arney will ride over 30,000 kilometres across six continents with the broad aims of exploring potential in people, communities, and the natural environment in which they live. At the end of their expedition, Kristina will have become the fastest female to circumnavigate the globe by bike. Even more vitally, throughout their journey Kristina and Nic will connect with a range of diverse communities situated along their route. Guided by curiosity about global challenges as they present themselves in specific regions, Kristina and Nic, together with their production and education teams, will make the raw materials of their explorations available to the critical imaginations of the young people who follow their journey via LI’s online education platform.
