MISSION:
Volunteers' Centre of Vojvodina is striving to make voluntary work recognised and acknowledged as a tool for development of individual and society by organising voluntary activities and spreading values of voluntarism among people.
VISION:
Stable society where we all can move freely, have equal possibilities for education and access to information, based on solidarity, peace, love, accepting differences and life in harmony with nature.
VALUES:
VOLUNTARISM – as a tool for promoting positive social values through self-initiated actions, without any expectations of material satisfaction, for general welfare
SOLIDARITY – as awareness of a need to be responsible toward one another and for developing more righteous relationships among people
TOLERANCE – as accepting different opinions and attitudes without agreeing with them necessarily
EQUALITY – as equal rights and opportunities for everyone regardless of sex, age, education, race, nationality, social status, political and religious beliefs or any other difference
PEACE AND NON-VIOLENCE – as basic principles of thinking and behaviour
LIFE IN HARMONY WITH NATURE – as an endeavor to change behaviour patterns of life and adjusting them to basic principles of sustainable development
We strongly believe that people are capable of living together with mutual respect without using any type of violence as a way to resolve conflicts.
We also believe that through engaging together in different activities we can achieve better conditions for growth and development of an individual and society, healthier environment and social surrounding.
We dedicated our complete work to achieving this.

In January 2004 a group of young enthusiasts gathered by the idea of volunteerism has recognised a need for forming a volunteers' centre as a possible solution of numerous problems of our community and society in general.
Not long after that we formed VCV. During its first year of work VCV was an informal group working on organisation of international workcamps and placing volunteers from Vojvodina on camps around the world. As the time passed the number of active volunteers and activities grew larger and idea developed further.
Finally, in november 2005 VCV was formally registered as an NGO.
With organisational development, the range of activities widened. Up to today we organised more than 30 international workcamps in Serbia, organised and participated in numerous international youth exchanges, seminars, trainings, conferences and initiatives, educational programmes, humanitarian activities, started a local voluntary service in Novi Sad, supported organisation of different festivals and events.
In our activities we involved for now more than 1000 volunteers from Vojvodina and 500 International volunteers.
We cooperate with numerous organisations from Serbia and from around the world. In the end of 2006. we were recognised by international peace network Service Civil International (SCI) which coordinates volunteer exchanges in more than 40 countries and with partners from around the world. One of the branches of SCI is VCV.
