USCRI implements programs and services through our National and International Network of partners and allies. Activities include but are not limited to:
(1) Organizing the resettlement of refugees into the US from all over the world
(2) aiding and funding community-based organizations of USCRI’s network to serve refugees
(3) helping refugees meet a range of needs when they first arrive, and continue to serve as their guide to life in the U.S.– to learning English, finding employment, and, eventually, earning American citizenship.
(4) advocating for refugee rights through our World Refugee Survey. USCRI collaborates with nearly 40 local human rights groups in refugee-hosting countries to produce this annual Survey.
(5) campaigning to End the Warehousing of Refugees. Through field offices and networks of NGOs, USCRI advocates for the 8 million refugees confined to camps and settlements worldwide
(6) assisting child asylum seekers through the National Center for Refugee and Immigrant Children. Through a grant from UNHCR and numerous law firms, USCRI provides pro bono legal and social services to unaccompanied children released from detention in the United States.
