The organization aims to promote sustainable ideas to empower under privileged children and youth in a more sustainable manner.It is also the aim of the organization to ensure sustainability of all projects through the involvement and participation of community youth to encourage and fostering ownership of projects.

The organization was established with the increasing need for the interventions for children and youth who due to the current world economic crisis are trapped in poverty and deprived of basic needs including their rights as the future generations. In this regard, UNICA seeks to be a mouth piece for children and youth in all issues affecting them. Children have in a long time been regarded as in eligible to contribute to policy development which has resulted in inappropriate interventions for them. This is the gap that UNICA seeks to address within all issues involving children.
