UAFP carries out awareness and sensitization programs that target the young people using art: visual and audio-visual arts as the principle medium. UAFP believes that the vessel to the ecstasy of modernity is literacy; literacy the memory bank of culture; developing any culture is a process that requires an art. Art is the only certified universal language, it addresses the individual as a whole: body, spirit, intelligence and emotions. As a guiding principle, the organization only promotes activities that are upright and acceptable in the sight of God. UAFP concentrates on the universal six domains of peace: Respecting all life without discrimination, Rejecting all forms of Violence, Defending freedom of expression and cultural diversity, Sharing with others in a spirit of generosity, Contributing to the development of your community, Rediscovering solidarity, and Preserving the planet.

To develop annual peace events and exchange programs which are multi-cultural, inter-generational, and inter-faith and which foster community at all levels is one of the objectives of UAFP. UAFP carries out an international volunteer/fellowship exchange program throughout the year. It is aimed at building unity and togetherness by making people especially the young to discover their potential in a world of multiplicity: diverse in ethnicity, languages and customs; diverse in local and regional autonomy; diverse in ideas and aspirations; diverse in beliefs or religions; diverse in creativity, and other natural resources; diverse projects in the humanities and social sciences.
Currently, UAFP is looking for volunteers, artists and internship fellows around the world. They must be hard working, serious, professional, but above all with compassion, love and the will to donate their resources (time and material) to help suffering East Africans in the areas of peace education, medical and health services, and environmental protection. They shall participate in three on-going projects: the peace education in institutions of learning in Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono and Mpigi districts in central Uganda; the Kambuga, Kihiihi & Butogota Hospitals/health centers in southern Uganda; and the Nyundo Mountain Gorilla Niche conservation project also in southern Uganda.
