TRIP! has been active in the Toronto party scene for over 15 years, setting up info booths at parties and distributing harm reduction literature (safer sex, safer drug use, safer partying) and supplies (condoms, lube, earplugs, straws) to party people in the greater Toronto area (GTA). We do on site counseling, crisis intervention, needle exchange, and all of the staff and volunteers who work the booth are trained in overdose recognition and CPR.
When we're not setting up the booth, TRIP! volunteers can be found walking through parties and clubs with bags of info and condoms, scattering TRIP! literature and supplies throughout the venue. Volunteers are prepared to talk and answer questions, and handle on site emergencies.
We also distribute info at the street level, by setting up on weekends on Queen Street, near Peter Street. This helps to reach party people and drug users who casually stroll the strip late at night, and introduce our unique service to those who are curious.
We hold community workshops, usually on a monthly basis (cept for when we get really busy, and it cant happen as regularly as we'd like), on relevant issues like Sexual Assault, MDMA Research, Pill Testing, Overdose, and Dealin with the Cops.
