We believe that significant death penalty reform in Texas, including a moratorium on executions, is a viable goal if the public is educated on the death penalty system and is encouraged to contact their elected representatives to urge passage of moratorium legislation.

What does the organization do?
Educates, organizes and advocates against the death penalty. We organize protests, work with family members of people facing execution, meet with elected officeholders, hold art shows and engage in other activities designed to build support for stopping executions and abolishing the death penalty.

We encourage college and high school students to organize vigils and protests on days of executions and hold anti-death penalty events on their campuses at which we can supply speakers.
