As they take the initiative to set TEDxSaigon in motion, their work is based upon the following ground:
o Getting inspired by a pool of ideas, especially those on Vietnam’s development.
o Taking actions on great ideas, including inviting passionate speakers to deliver their life-time talks in an open and collaborative environment, namely TEDxSaigon, the first TED-like event in Vietnam.

TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) is an American NPO since 1984, organizing conferences where experts come to deliver and enjoy 3-18 minute talks on specific themes (you can have a look at some amazing examples here http://ted.com). Recently TED has allowed people around the world to hold TEDx events (x=independently organized) using the same format of TED.

Here we've been licensed by TED to hold TEDxSaigon as an annual conference, the first TED-like experience in Vietnam. Themed "Dream, Diversity and Development," TEDxSaigon will bring in speakers from various industries and origins, including non-Vietnamese, Vietnamese and Viet Kieu. All of them have very good understanding of Vietnam and will present their ideas on how people, regardless of their backgrounds, can make contributions to the country, socially and culturally.
