STRIVE (Students Take Resolute Initiative to Vindicate the Environment) is an environmental organization begun by Stuyvesant students. We hope to foster a "green" atmosphere and help aspiring environmentalists grow through our recycling, energy saving, and environmental outreach actions. Besides convincing Stuyvesant students and administrators to save energy and reduce waste, we hope to expand the environmental community throughout New York City schools by holding a city-wide Earth Day festival and giving other schools the resources they need to hop on the "green" bandwagon.

STRIVE holds regular events in Stuyvesant High School from meetings to recycling awareness and energy saving initiatives. We successfully received a donation of recycling bins from Home Depot in December. We are also putting together a network of resources for students in New York City high...

STRIVE holds regular events in Stuyvesant High School from meetings to recycling awareness and energy saving initiatives. We successfully received a donation of recycling bins from Home Depot in December. We are also putting together a network of resources for students in New York City high schools to develop their own clubs. Finally, our largest event will be our Earth Day Festival in April, where we hope to spread environmental awareness to New York City residents and students.
