The focal areas of RUCHI include education and empowerment; community health care; natural resource management and technology adaptation and extension. RUCHI enjoys the distinction of introducing rain water harvesting from roof ropts in the state during the year 1990 and since then it has continued to promote this technology. RUCHI, today, stands recognsised as a Technology Resource Centre of CAPART under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.

Opportunities for Youth
We encourage students and youth to work as volunteers during their vacations and otherwise to gain real practical life expereince of rural India. We also try to provide them all necessary tools and inputs to get involved into community organisation and development.
