Rotaract (Rotary in Action) Semanggi Jakarta is a community-based youth organization sponsored by Rotary Club Jakarta, officially chartered on 25 May 1986.

This 2009-2010 Rotary Year Tag-line of Rotaract Club Semanggi Jakarta is ‘Let’s Celebrate Life’, associated with Rotaract Club District 3400 Indonesia Tag-line of ‘Time to Inspire”.
Numbers of our active members come from a variety of backgrounds. We have individuals who work in Corporate Banking, Public Relation, HRD Training, Finance and Legal Officer, Diplomat, Advertising Agency, Marketing Research, IT Consultant, TV Producer, as well as civil servants, technicians, Organizers, Teachers, Entertainer, Undergraduate/Post Graduate students and many more.


Rotaractors (members) of Semanggi Jakarta are partners in service with our Rotary Club Sponsor, Rotary Club of Jakarta. We try to serve the wider community on a continuing basis through our community service project. In addition, we try to provide our own members with ongoing opportunities for professional development.

Some of our community service projects have involved helping the people in the Mampang area with sanitation issues, working with aside street children, and providing book donations.

Weekly guest speakers provide our members with professional development opportunities, along with in-house speakers from within our own membership; as well as providing professional, management and leadership training/workshop.

Fellowship activities are conducting periodically and continuously in strengthening a good relationship amongst members and sense of belonging to the club.

Since the Rotaract Club network are spread out all over the world (in more than 163 countries), our club feels that it is important to maintain and strengthen our good relation and cooperation worldwide through some of our projects, such as: We Listen To You, Culinary Diplomacy, etc; and also actively involved in another Int’l Service project held by Rotaract Clubs from another district.
