Orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) care.
We place OVC with care-taker families in their communities and we provide support to the families, and constantly monitor the children’s welfare.
We plan to open a community centre consisting of a crèche and daycare centre for children, a library and a community hall for youth and other community activities, a mini farm, and a health clinic.
Women empowerment for sustainable livelihoods.
We have mobilized 28 women headed families to start a home gardening project to feed their families and the orphans.
We have started a skills training project where women are provided with skills in crafts making, sewing and food preservation.
We started collecting building materials for shelters and water tanks for women’s poultry project. The water tanks will also be used for the gardening projects.
