RESPECT is working towards improving the quality of life and future potential for refugee children caught in conflict by helping to outfit schools in refugee communities with proper teaching and learning supplies. We are doing this by introducing educational communities here in Winnipeg with refugee schools in need.
Schools, clubs, and other groups of young people will be assigned a refugee school to sponsor. Then, with the support of RESPECT, students will work to put together an aid package or shipment to be sent directly to the refugee camp. As much as possible, it is hoped individual sponsors will work to fund-raise in order to send their aid shipment to the camp. Again, RESPECT will help with all particulars of transport.
