It is the mission of the WoodGreen Red Door Family Shelter to provide safe and supportive emergency housing to individuals and families in need of refuge from domestic violence, and to those who find themselves without accommodation. The Red Door assists residents in their efforts to establish a stable life outside the shelter through education, counselling, community services and advocacy on their behalf.

Since 1982, the Red Door has provided services for families and individuals who need safe and supportive emergency shelter. A dedicated and caring staff team addresses the particular needs of the families in crisis. The services provided reduce the impact of homelessness by providing safe and supportive shelter to hundreds of families each year. We help keep families together by providing services for the whole family and assist families in establishing a stable life beyond the shelter.
