By building rainwater harvesting structures and training women to be the entrepreneurs, Rainwater for Humanity harvests rain to improve community health and empower women in Kuttanad, India. We are a team of students at Brown University and RISD who work with a university and a women's self-help group in India. Our engineering students have designed a rainwater harvesting structure that will bring clean water to the village of Kerala, India. The structures will be built by local women using local, green materials and within three years the project will become a sustainable business.
