Our American Generation is a youth run think tank that facilitates research and dialogue concerning social justice issues.
OAG helps you(th) get serious and get organized about social justice issues you care about. We strive to engage youth in critical research and discussion about all social justice issues, in hopes to create a strong and diverse community of young Americans – a community that will not be reluctant to take on our nation’s most challenging problems.
Our goal is to: To create a community of youth that can:
1. Identify the intersections between all social justice issues
2. Identify social injustices within their own communities.
3. Empower the rest of the youth community to understand social justice issues in detail, and to formulate solutions.

If your project is approved by our youth Advisory Board, they will receive tools, funds, personal assistance, and ultimately will be published in zine format. Apply to research here.
2. Encouraging community and conversation about how current events relate to social justice. Any young person may write for OAG – no application necessary. Simply signup on the right side where it says “Blog for OAG.” Young folks that blog for us at least once per week for three months are eligible for a fellowship position. Learn more about OAG’s blog, the Takeover.
3. Creating an on the ground community through social gatherings and educational events. This includes our monthly social justice mixer, The OAG Thang, which takes place in Seattle every last Thursday.
