The prime purpose for the campaign is that students in Sweden are doing an effort for students in other countries, but Operation a Day’s Work is also something that gives students in Sweden a lot. Through the campaign students get a chance to work with something that they are interested in. Some work at companies while others sing outside stores or walk around with a collecting box.
The campaign also gives the Swedish students a chance to learn more about a new country, some schools also have thematic studies when the students during a day or a week learn more about the project-country, global issues and they get to identify with young people that may not have been born with the same opportunities as themselves.
