For over 26 years, the National Network for Youth has been dedicated to ensuring that young people can be safe and lead healthy and productive lives. With over 850 direct members and 2,500 constituents involved in its regional and state networks, the National Network informs public policy, educates the public and strengthens the field of youth work. In doing so, young people are championed, especially those who because of life circumstances, disadvantage, past abuse or community prejudice have less opportunity to become contributing members of their communities.

The National Network for Youth serves as a powerful advocate in Washington, D.C., protecting key legislation and spending affecting youth. National Network members, youth and staff work together to educate and guide members of Congress, their staffs and administration officials. Through congressional testimony, direct relationships with dozens of congressional offices and committees, and collaborative work with more than 12 national coalitions, the National Network strives to increase positive attention and federal investment in our most important resource — young people.
The National Network for Youth offers introductory and intensive-level training sessions and consultations in such areas as community and youth development, the art of partnering, facilitative leadership, organizational development, and social and cultural change. Additionally, an annual Symposium held each year in the nation's capital brings together over 1,000 youth and youth advocates to explore cutting-edge information, learn about quality programs and services, and influence legislation affecting youth.
The National Network for Youth also produces a host of publications, including a journal committed to youth and adults working in partnership to create just, safe and healthy communities by building leadership and influencing public policy.
