OMHIN is a relatively new organization, springing into existence mid 2004. OMHIN was first conceived as an education tool to address the fragmentation of human resources within the response to HIV/AIDS (especially within academic institutions). For example, currently there are a shortage of academic training programs in Canada which facilitate more holistic understandings of the pandemic

What does the organization do?
Increasing awareness and cooperation of the multitude of disciplines involved in HIV/AIDS through information sharing and networking. We are in the process of establishing an interdisciplinary mentoring program for undergraduate students.
Opportunities for Youth
OMHIN is completely organized by youth, and all of its programs are open to university undergraduate and graduate students.
