The MB4Youth Advisory Council was created to provide feedback to the Minister of Education, Citizenship and Youth on issues relating to youth such as jobs, education, leadership, and citizen engagement.
We are comprised of 15 members between the ages of 15 and 24 who enjoy working with our peers and want to help the provincial government make informed decisions on issues affecting youth.
We were chosen to be on the Council because of our leadership skills, volunteer activities, and contributions to our school and community. We come from various communities and cultural backgrounds, so we feel we bring unique perspectives to the Council.
Throughout the year, the Council will meet 2 to 4 times face-to-face and hold teleconference meetings. Our meeting minutes will be posted, so please bookmark this Web page to read about our discussions.
As Council members, we will help ensure that youth have a say in decisions that affect the youth in Manitoba.

The Division works closely with youth, businesses, not-for-profit organizations, community groups, educational institutions, provincial departments, and other levels of government to accomplish two main goals:
*
To work with prospective employers to facilitate the hiring of students and youth up to age 29 by providing internships, grants, job referrals, mentorship and bursary opportunities, and wage incentives. The Division delivers over 20 employment programs.
*
To be the single source of information for all youth programs and services offered by the Government of Manitoba. The Division would like to make it easier for youth to access over 200 provincial programs and services through the OpportunitiesMB web portal.

Employers
MB4Youth encourages the development of job opportunities for youth that are career related and link with labour market needs. In turn, the student/youth will obtain valuable employability skills, essential skills and financial supports to continue their studies.
Private and public sectors, municipal government and agencies and non-profit organizations have the opportunity to access supports such as wage incentives, training allowances, grants, referral and support services through our various programs.
