What does the organization do?
Kids with Cameras sets up photography programs for children in marginalized populations of different countries. The organization's incipent workshop was in Calcutta's red-light district, where the documentary Born into Brothels was filmed. There have been subsequent programs in Haiti,...

Kids with Cameras sets up photography programs for children in marginalized populations of different countries. The organization's incipent workshop was in Calcutta's red-light district, where the documentary Born into Brothels was filmed. There have been subsequent programs in Haiti, Jerusalem, Baton Rouge, and Cairo. The children's photographic prints are sold; the proceeds are used for their education and general well-being.

Opportunities for Youth
Kids with Cameras is developing an educational curriculum that is intended for use in high schools across the United States. This curriculum is based on the documentary Born into Brothels, and will address issues of human rights and art as a creative and transformative tool.
